Alle & Jared’s Industrial and Modern Wedding
There are some celebrations that stay with you, long after the last song has played. Alle and Jared’s wedding was one of them—a day filled with moody elegance, modern details, and an atmosphere of pure, infectious fun. We were thrilled to help them put a unique spin on a classic fall palette, creating a chic and industrial aesthetic that was a true reflection of their personalities. The goal was to design an event that felt both sophisticated and completely alive, and the results were nothing short of spectacular.
Join us as we explore the design elements that brought this unforgettable day to life.
The Vision: Industrial Chic with a Romantic Twist
From our first meeting, Alle and Jared knew they wanted a wedding that felt different. They loved the idea of a deep, moody palette but wanted to elevate it with a modern touch. We landed on a sophisticated spin on classic fall colours, using rich browns and taupe as a base, accented with sharp black details and softened with touches of romantic blush. This contrast between the industrial edge and the soft, romantic elements became the guiding principle for the entire design. For Alle’s personal flowers, she wanted something simple yet striking. A modern bouquet of elegant orchid stems was the perfect choice, complementing the clean lines of her gown and the overall aesthetic of the day.
The Ceremony: A Runway to Forever
Guests arrived at Alloway Hall for an early evening ceremony that was designed for dramatic impact. We arranged the seating in a "runway" style, with chairs flanking a central aisle, creating an intimate and fashion-forward atmosphere where every guest had a perfect view. As musicians played, the couple made their way down the aisle, meeting under a breathtaking floating chuppah suspended from support beams above. This modern take on a traditional element, adorned with draping flowers and a soft canopy, created a sacred and visually stunning focal point for their vows.
The couple exchanged vows on a custom blush and ivory checkered dance floor, which added a graphic, modern element to the space. To maintain an element of surprise, a soft ivory drape spanned the width of the gallery, concealing the reception setup. Overhead, blush and ivory voile was elegantly draped along the beams, softening the industrial feel of the space and adding a layer of romantic texture. The entire scene was carefully illuminated by lighting installed on the rigging above, highlighting the chuppah and casting a warm, intimate glow over the proceedings.
The Transition: Cocktails and a Grand Reveal
Following the emotional ceremony, guests were guided into the lobby and welcome gallery spaces for cocktails and passed appetizers. This transition allowed the Alli Mae Events team and venue staff to perform a magical transformation. The dividing drape was pulled back, and the ceremony space was seamlessly converted into the stunning reception area as tables and chairs were moved into place.
While Alle and Jared mingled with their loved ones, the lobby was transformed into a chic lounge. Two stylish bars were set up, and a mix of modern lounge furniture from Beyond The Lounge and Collective Event Rentals was arranged to encourage conversation. A custom seating display guided guests to their tables, and a black drape discreetly covered the museum's remaining exhibits, ensuring the focus remained on the celebration.
The Reception: A Striking and Moody Tablescape
The goal for the reception decor was to create a simple yet striking tablescape that was both moody and elegant. We used a mix of round and long tables to add visual interest to the large gallery space. The tabletop styling was a study in texture and contrast, featuring stone dishware, smoke glassware, and clusters of taper candles that cast a flickering, romantic light.
Round Tables: Each round table featured a medium-sized, moody floral arrangement that seemed to drip with colour and texture. A trio of black candles was placed around the centrepiece, enhancing the dramatic and intimate feel.
Long Tables: For a truly unique look, we arranged four long tables in a dramatic "X" shape. The tablescape alternated between tall black taper candle holders and petite bud vases filled with flowers from the wedding’s palette. At the centre of the "X," a black pedestal held a large, stunning floral arrangement that mirrored the style of the round tables, creating a central anchor for the room.
The entire space was bathed in the warm glow of countless taper candles, creating an atmosphere that was both grand and deeply romantic.
The Party: Sweets, Sips, and Celebration
As dinner concluded, the celebration seamlessly transitioned into a high-energy party. The custom dance floor, once the site of the ceremony, became the heart of the reception, with the chuppah still floating magically above as guests danced the night away to the incredible sounds of the Big City All Star Band.
To keep the energy going, we unveiled a feature sweets table filled with an exquisite selection of mini desserts from Dolce Bake Shop. Adjacent to this sweet station, a specialty coffee cart from De Luca’s served up artisanal coffees, providing a perfect pick-me-up for guests. From the heartfelt vows to the packed dance floor, every part of Alle and Jared’s day was a perfect reflection of their fun-loving and chic style.
It was an honour to bring Alle and Jared's vision for an industrial and modern wedding to life. Their trust in the creative process allowed us to design a day that was not only beautiful but also deeply personal and unforgettable. We wish them a lifetime of happiness, laughter, and love.
